Ubisoft has announced that after a slight delay, the Arctic Strike Map Pack for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be available on July 17 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The pack contains three new multiplayer maps, a new mode called Stockade, a Guerilla co-op map, six new weapons, a new level cap and achievements. It will run you 800 MS Points/£7.99/$9.99. Ubisoft’s holding a Steam sale for this weekend, beginning with Ghost Recon. The original GR, Island Thunder, Desert Siege, Advanced Warfighter and its sequel are all discounted ahead of the release of Future Soldier next week on consoles and on June 14 on PC. Ubisoft has released a trailer for its movie short Ghost Recon: Alpha. It’s posted below along with a set of screenshots. The full film will be available to the public on Monday May 14 via Ubisoft’s YouTube channel. The film was shown earlier in the month via Lovefilm and on G4, and a DVD Blu-ray combo pack lands in stores on May 22 for $14.95 and as a standalone DVD for $7.95. A code to unlock and exclusive weapon in the Xbox 360 version of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is hidden in the film. Future Soldier launches on May 25 for PS3 and 360 and on June 12 for PC.
