In more Borderlands 2 news, it looks as though the next DLC to hit the game will be called Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt. The DLC was outed on Gearbox’s forums, and the title of the DLC was confirmed to Polygon by a representative for the developer – although no additional information was provided. Boderlands 2 has received a patch addressing Badass Rank issues and related data. Other general tweaks and fixes have been applied to both PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. You can get the full patch notes for both through the links.

New Claptrap audio files from Borderlands 2 are now available for you to make use of however you want: ringtones, PC alerts, something to play loud over the speakers to drive your dogs batshit crazy. You name it. There are 34 in total and taken directly from the master files used in the game. We’ve got the first batch from Borderlands 1 on our phone. People always look at us in a odd way when the phone goes off in the middle of Walmart. It makes us smile.

Borderlands 2 has been available for pre-order for a while through the European end of PSN, but now those in the US can get in on the digital action if they choose. According to the latest Blogcast on the US PS Blog, those in the US can download the game the day it launches in the region. It will run you $59.99, same as a retail copy but since you can’t pre-order it in the US on PSN, you won’t get in on the Premiere Club end of it those in Europe will. Borderlands 2 is out September 18 in the US and on September 21 in the UK for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
