Borderlands – first gameplay trailer
Gearbox released the first Borderlands gameplay trailer for Comic Con last night. Watch it after the break.
It’s a shooter RPG. The movie says so. It has a lot of guns. Look and see.

Aliens: Colonial Marines bumped out of this year

Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford’s told Kotaku that Aliens: Colonial Marines is still in the works, but won’t happen this year.
It was supposed to hit 2009.
Everything went a little awry in the world of Aliens when Sega decided to can the RPG Obsidian was basing on the franchise in February.
But still. All’s well that ends well. Ish.

New Borderlands art style shown on next PC Gamer cover

Is Borderlands cel-shaded? The cover of the June issue of PC Gamer magazine shows off the game’s new art-style, one Gearbox swears is anything but.
The image is an in-game screenshot, according to Gearbox’s Steve Gibson. See for yourself.
April 13 will see the launch of the Borderlands website, which should give us a better idea of the final product.

New Samba De Amigo trailer features crazy, maraca monkey
Yes! We’re delighted. Sega has released has another Samba De Amigo Wii trailer, and yet again, there’s a real life chimpanzee sitting on the sofa shaking his maracas. Apart from that, there’s loads of colour, kids shaking Wii-motes, and-a crazy Mexicana music.
Game’s out today in Europe. Goes Stateside on September 23.

Mutants blowing things up is clearly going to be de rigueur in 2009, with both id’s Rage and Gearbox’s Borderlands – of which you can see new screens on GameInfoWire – vying for attention next year.

Samba de Amigo to be first retail Wii game with DLC
Sega has announced that Gearbox’s Samba de Amigo will be the first retail Wii title to support downloadable content.
The following new tracks will arrive when the game launches on September 23 and there’s more to come in the future:
- Mambo Mambo – Lou Bega
- I Want Candy – Bow Wow Wow
- Are you Going to Be My Girl – Jet

After the drop. See Roland and Mordecai drive around Pandora in a vehicle shooting things in Take Two’s post apocalyptic first-person shooter.
The company recently announced that the game will feature over 500,000 weapons, in case you didn’t catch it yesterday.

New Borderlands shots released
Take-Two’s put out some new screens of post-apocalyptic action title Borderlands, following what looked to be a pretty anorexic press conference.
As announced tonight, the Gearbox game will sport 500,000 weapons when it releases next year. No, we don’t know how. PC, PS3 and 360.

Take-Two financials: Borderlands delayed
Gearbox’s Borderlands was pushed into fiscal 2009 last night in a financial statement from Take-Two. The release said the title had been delayed “in order to allow additional development time for this highly anticipated game and provide a better balance in the release of Take-Two’s triple-A titles.”
