Age of Empires Online is now completely free-to-play
Age of Empires Online has gone free-to-play, Gas Powered Games has announced. Previously only free-to-try, all content is now available through in-game purchased or microtransactions. “We probably turned off a lot of players who would’ve kept playing had they been given the option to earn a Premium Civilization,” systems design lead Eric Williamsontold PC Gamer. In order to further entice you, a new team-based multiplayer mode for level 40 and up has been added. It’s called Alliance Wars. That’s not all though: current players will be given 500 Empire Points and those who create a new account will be handed 100 points.

Demigod released on Steam
Gas Powered Games’ Demigod debuted in 2009 to a very mixed response. Most people said the game was pretty great when it wasn’t malfunctioning or the download service wasn’t glitching out.
Today it was announced that the game will be available on Steam as well. So now you can compete to be amongst the pantheon of gods without having to search through your program files to find your install of Impulse. It will also be on sale through January 2nd for just $6.69 or $19.99 for a 4-pack.
