Playr TV show announced for Bravo
Skipped this earlier, for some reason. The chaps from now defunct Gamer TV have announced a new Bravo games show, titled Playr.
The show’s in a similar vein to Gamer TV, so expect new, previews, and so on. It’s launching this week.
“It’s a good time to be launching television series about games,” said executive producer Richard ‘Double or Nothing’ Wilcox.
“We expect to reach around 100,000 gamers every week in the UK and many more than that on TV networks worldwide.”
Press release after the link.

Gamer TV closes down
Blimey. Gamer TV‘s announced that it’s shutting down after five years of broadcasting. In a statement, the company said:
“After being on air continuously since December 2002, Gamer TV, Europe’s most respected games television series, has ended its run for the foreseeable future.
“IMG who own the rights to the Gamer TV brand have decided that it no longer forms part of their future plans, despite the series performing well on Bravo in the UK and on other channels around the world.”
Sorry about that, chaps. Best of luck.
