Frontier opening new development studio in Canada
Frontier Developments has announced it’s opening a new development studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The firm said the region has been on its “radar as an attractive geographic and commercial environment,” in which it can create titles as be surrounded by the pool of local universities graduates and various indie developers. “We are excited about opening an office in Halifax, our first outside of the UK,” said COO and president David Walsh. “The studio will be up and running during August, collaborating with our teams in the UK. We are looking forward to working together with our new colleagues, integrating quickly into the Halifax area and making a positive contribution to the Nova Scotia business community.”

David Braben first big name confirmed for Develop 2012
Develop organisers have announced the first big speaker of this year’s show is none other than Frontier boss David Braben. Braben’s talk, as part of Brighton Visionaries in a session called “Raspberry Pi – the story so far”, describing the success to date of the mini coding-based USB stick.
Develop takes place between July 10-12 in Brighton.

Frontier’s Braben confirmed for Develop keynote
Frontier boss David Braben has been confirmed as a keynote for this year’s Develop. Braben’s keynote, which will happen on the second day of the Brighton-based event, is called “Making Disneyland,” which will touch upon the development of the studio’s latest project Kinect Disneyland Adventures. The game was announced during Microsoft’s E3 briefing.
Develop takes place between July 19-21.
