Dark Souls 2 screens and concept art are dark, some a bit scary
Dark Souls 2 concept art and screenshots have been released by Namco Bandai. Some are rather interesting, and show armor, weapons and the like. Others, well, they’re downright frightening. Dark Souls 2 comp offers the chance to design an in-game item
As with the original, Namco Bandai is offering you the chance to see your design featured in-game in Dark Souls 2. The competition, which opened today and runs until May 13, is hosted on the series’s Facebook page, and challenges you to design a shield. The lucky winner, chosen by community voting and a panel of From Software judges, will see their vision transformed into a 3D asset. Just Like Dark Souls and head to the Shield Design app to get started. Dark Souls 2 is headed to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is expected either late this year or in early 2014.

Dark Souls 2 box art shows our hero facing backwards
Cover art for Dark Souls 2 has been released by From Software and publisher Namco Bandai. You can view it in all its glory below. It looks the same on all three formats, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but we’ve only posted the PC version because it is cleaners due to the lack of logos. So there’s no need for redundancy. Dark Souls 2 is expected in either late 2013 or early 2014. Thanks, AGB.

Dark Souls 2 tagline is “Go Beyond Death”
Remember that poll asking you about various potential taglines for Dark Souls 2? An update to the official Dark Souls 2 website suggests one has been chosen: Go Beyond Death. Seems pretty appropriate. The hardcore RPG sequel is expected on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in late 2013 or early 2014.

Armored Core: Verdict day screens show 20-mech battles
Namco Banfai has released a huge pile of localised screens for From Software’s latest, Armored Core: Verdict Day. A few of these you will have seen before, but the English translations give a much better idea of what to expect from the mech battler’s faction-based multiplayer mode. Verdict Day is heading to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in September, and will also arrive in the west sometime this year.
