Installing Forza 3′s second disc, essential if you’re going to get the game’s full experience, takes around four minutes: watch the video after the break as proof.

The extra DVD contains 1.9Gb of data, such as car packs, tracks and environments.

If you don’t have enough space on your 360′s drive, the game asks you which car packs you want to install. You won’t see that in this movie as we’d cleared out a bunch of stuff beforehand.

GT5 goes beyond reality? Microsoft worldwide dev boss Phil Spencer laughs in the face of the fourth dimension. He has Forza 3. And Forza 3 is “the only racing sim that’s shipping this generation,” apparently.

Seriously. He said this to Gamasutra:

Gama: In this era of PS3 and Xbox 360 games, where third-parties are almost never shipping console exclusives, certainly Sony’s been very strong on, well, “our strategy, then, for differentiation is to use our first-party organization to make solid, important, AAA exclusives.” Is that how you see it, too?

PS: Absolutely. And to ship them! That’s an important part of our strategy. Look at Forza shipping next month: the definitive racing sim this generation. You could say it’s the only racing sim that’s shipping this generation.

You go, Phil. Maybe Forza 3 goes beyond super-reality. A place where the super-real ceases to be real. Hit the link before the wormhole deepens.

The first Forza 3 reviews are now live, and it’s all looking pretty safe if you were thinking of investing.

Microsoft said this morning that Forza 3 will get a “free Game Add-on car and track pack, available exclusively by way of a one-time-use token card included in every new copy” of the game.

The Turn 10 racer releases on October 27.

Japanese gaming blog Livedoor (via Kotaku) has put up a comparison of Forza Motorsport 2 and Forza Motorsport 3, showing the differences the two year difference the two games have between each other.

The difference is noticeable anyways in the HUD and in the lighting.

Game’s out on October 23 in the UK and October 27 in the US for the Xbox 360. Reviews embargo expires on Thursday.

Forza dev Turn 10′s poo-pooed the notion that the third in its racer series has taken 360 to its limit.

“Have we maxed out the 360? Of course not,” said Forza 3 director Dan Greenawalt, speaking to VG last week.

“It’s a really powerful system.”

Greenwalt added: “When it comes to hardware you always use 100 percent. Even to make a little arcade game, you’d use 100 percent of the hardware.

“But when you’re first party, and when you’ve got a really clever development staff that’s world class, hired from all over the industry, then you learn tricks. It’s like Tetris.”

Just imagine what Forza 4′s going to look like. More through there.

MS just released a range of Forza 3 Avatar clothing to “complete your demo experience,” according to the Nelson.

The demo’s now available in all regions.

Looks as though the Forza 3 demo’s gone live on the Dutch Marketplace.

We’ve just checked the UK version and there’s nothing there as yet, but you can download it from this link provided you’re signed into the UK Marketplace (thanks, evilashchris).

There’s a video of Forza 3′s “exclusive” Ferrarris after the break, and extremely pretty they look too.

We’re still a little unsure as to what “exclusive” means as regards the car manufacture and Microsoft’s upcoming race – see here for background – but we’ll do a little nudging.

Microsoft and Turn 10 announced this morning that Forza Motorsport 3 has gone gold and will launch on October 23 and 27, in the UK and US respectively.

Something else that will make you happy, is that a demo for the game is set to go live on Xbox Live Marketplace September 24.

The demo will feature the new cock-pit view, refined damage, the new rewind function and allows players to pull barrel rolls around the full Camino Viejo circuit should they wish

Five playable vehicles are included in the demo as well:

• 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR
• 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro
• 2009 Ferrari California
• 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
• 2009 Mini John Cooper Works

The demo also supports the official leaderboards. Awesome.

Turn 10 sat down with GiantBomb during PAX and talked all things Forza Motorsport 3.

Speaking with the site, senior designer Bill Giese gave a demo of the game, which is currently in certification with Microsoft.

Shots of Forza 3′s Australia’s V8 touring car series have popped up on Kotaku, and very pretty they are too.

In case you missed it, you should definitely watch yesterday’s video of the Bugatti Veyron being modelled for the racer: it’s something else.

Forza 3 releases on October 23 in Europe and October 27 in the US.

In it, game director Dan Greenawalt talks about how Turn 10 wanted the super sexy beast of a car to be featured in the game, and goes into how the various lovely bits of it are converted for the game.

Greenawalt also talks about damage modeling, but to hell with that part. Just look at the car. That nice, lovely, fantastic car. Even with yellow tape stuff all over it. Wow.

Four screens for Forza MotorSport 3 have popped up over on Gameinfowire.

Dunno if these are new or not, but the pics show cars. You like cars. We like cars.

Therefore, everybody wins.

Kotaku has ‘em up, along with Microsoft proclaiming 21-year-old Swiss racer, Natacha Gachnang as the European ‘Face of Forza.

Also, just in case there was any confusion out there, the racer arrives in Europe October 23 (not Oct 3) and in the US on October 27.

Done. No more wondering. It’s happening.

Turn 10 community manager Che Chou has revealed that Forza 3 will not include dynamic weather or night racing, according to a post on the official forums.

“No weather, night racing, or rally in the game,” he wrote.

While that may disappoint some, the fact that tons of cars are included in the game may pacify the down trodden.

“Any car is up for grabs,” he continued. “Just because we haven’t announced/shown it doesn’t mean it won’t make it into the game. We’re just trickling out info.

“Painter/tuner/drag/drift scoreboards. Yes, it’s all in the details. Which we haven’t revealed yet.”

Good to know.

New shots showing the cars you can drive around on the recently announced Japanese tracks have popped up for Forza 3.

They look dead sexy. Especially the Nissan 370z, which looks a lot like the one parked in our imaginary garage.

Forza 3 is out in October. Got it right this time.

Four Japanese racetracks across three venues will be included in Forza 3 this October, Turn 10 said today.

There’s the Suzuka Circuit, the Twin Ring Motegi, and the Tsukaba Circuit.

A list of 17 Japanese cars to be included was also released by the developer:
