Dark Vale Games has announced that its massively multiplayer online action role-playing game Forge is going free-to-play. The change will come via an update this week.

The Hammerhead Bundle from Indie Royale is now live, and it contains Primordia, Pressure, Forge, Richard and Alice and Gas Guzzlers: Combat Carnage. Those who pay $8 or their currency equivalent will also receive MY OK BBS’s chiptune album: It’s Not Great in MP3 and FLAC format. Dark Vale Games has announced that update 1.04 is now available for FORGE. It adds: a new Training Zone vs. A.I. controlled bots, Pre-Game Lobby, server browser, group matchmaking, expanded ability Focus System with 30 new abilities and more. The developer also announced that new classes such as the Ravager and the Tinker, multiplayer maps, a swapable armor system, 60 new class abilities, new “Divine Armor” sets for epic-level character are also in the works. FORGE is also part of Steam’s Midweek Madness Sale from now until February 28, where you will be able to pick it up for a whopping $6.80.

Halo 4 developer 343 Industries should be adding the best of the Forge community’s creations across a range of multiplayer playlists within the fortnight, according to Halo Waypoint head Jessica Shea.

FORGE, the multiplayer-only PC title from Dark Vale Games, is now available on Steam and other online retailers. You can also make use of the two-for-one deal going on through Steam, Amazon, and GamersGate, as well as the game’s official website. The game will run you $19.99. Check out the launch trailer below.
