Fast & Furious: Showdown also headed to Wii U
Well, here’s a turn up for the books; for once, a game is headed to the Wii U against expectations, instead of the other way around. Activision’s tie-in Fast & Furious: Showdown was confirmed for PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 last week, but because we reported from the Australian announce, we didn’t hear a blessed thing about it coming to Nintendo’s new console. It definitely is, just not down here in the antipodes, where it’s just the latest Wii U release to skip the region. Expect it elsewhere around May 22, ahead of the new movie.
Thanks, Kotaku.

TrackMania to be released on Wii

Firebrand Games has announced that TrackMania will be coming to Wii.
“Firebrand has always strived to develop racing engines that make the current generation of machines do things that no-one thought possible 18 months ago,” said Firebrand boss Mark Greenshields.
“We altered people’s perception of just what the DS could do with Race Driver GRID and TrackMania DS, and TrackMania Wii is no less jaw-dropping.”
Firebrand will be showing the game at GamesCom to publishers.

First Trackmania DS screen released
On 4 color rebellion. Without stating the obvious, it really does look exactly as you’d expect Trackmania to look on a DS. It’s being developed by Firebrand Games and will ship in the fourth quarter.
