Final Fantasy XIV website updated ahead of Version 2.0 release
Hey nerds, Square Enix has updated the Final Fantasy XIV website. Why don’t you go over there and nerdily nerd out over the new screenshots, concept art and videos, many of which highlight the significant upgrades the MMORPG has received since its astoundingly dreadful launch, as well as the upcoming Version 2.0 launch which should nip all that in the bud once and for all and hail the long-awaited PlayStation 3 release. The countdown has begun. Now excuse me, I have some nerding to do.
Thanks, Andriasang.

Final Fantasy XIV patched to conclude A Relic Reborn quest
My friends, Final Fantasy XIV has been patched to 1.22c. The patch notes are a sea of incomprehensibility to me, but the main points seem to be a pile of new items; better options for sorting your inventory and Recruit panels; a boost to enfeebling magic; more Grand Company content; and the end of some epic quest which takes forever and gives you an amazing weapon. Final Fantasy XIV is expected to relaunch in 2.0 form early next year, along with a long delayed PS3 debut, but that hasn’t stopped Square Enix plugging away with regular updates like this – which also includes a whack of bug fixes.
