Hidemi Matsuzuka, general manager of Square Enix merchandise manufacturer Play Arts Kai, posted a picture of a perfume called Noctis, with the simple comment “Prince”. Prince Noctis is the name of the main character in Final Fantasy Versus 13. Those are the facts. Here’s the rampant speculation: Square Enix is preparing a line of merchandise or promotional materials for Final Fantasy Versus 13, which is going to break cover after years of vapourous silence, possibly at the February 20 PlayStation Meeting, where a jump to PlayStation 4 would explain a great many things. That’s your lot; make of it what you will.
