FIFA 13′s Ultimate Tema mode is offline, although other online game modes remain active. According to a post on the EA forums, the mode has been “temporarily disabled” to resolve a mysterious issue, in order to “ensure that an optimal experience can be sustained in the future”. Ultimate Team is a card trading game mode in which players compete to collect the best and rarest atheletes.

FIFA 13 has received its latest update on PS3, which fixes freezing and invisible ball issues. It’s the same patch that EA said was rolling out on PS3 back at the start of November, confirming that it’s almost a month late.

Walmart has revealed its Black Friday gaming deals, and according to the mega retail chain’s ad, it will have over 30 games on sale for $15. It also notes that over 25 other titles will be on sale for $10, while another 40-plus can be yours for $25. The later sale includes such titles as Epic Mickey 2, Dishonored, FIFA 13, Just Dance 4, Madden 13, and XCOM. The Xbox 360 Skylanders Starter Kit will also be on sale for $149 and comes with a 4GB console. A PS3 bundle complete with an inFamous Pack and the Uncharted bundle will run you $199. The FIFA 13 patch EA Sports released on PC this week has arrived on Xbox Live and is rolling out on the PlayStation Store. The full patch notes are quite substantial and reference a couple of much-bemoaned issues like missing commentary in a couple of languages and the famous invisible ball glitch. Sadly, it also includes a fix for the “rare cases of physics elasticity when two players collide” which may mean less of this kind of thing.
