Naoki Yoshida wants FFVII atmosphere for FFXIV Online
In a detailed Q&A session with the Japanese site 4gamer.net, newly incumbent Final Fantasy XIV Online director Naoki Yoshida has detailed his approach to rescuing the floundering Square Enix MMORPG, commenting that he wants to bring the impact and atmosphere of global bestseller Final Fantasy VII to Eorzea.

“Players had a very high expectation” of FFXIV, says Tanaka
Hiromichi Tanaka, SVP of software development at Square Enix, has said the company is doing everything it can to bring Final Fantasy XIV “back to the level” it planned to have ready for players of the MMO right from the start.
The latest patch is just a start.

PC Gamer rubbishes FFXIV with 30% review score

Square’s online currency Crysta hitting Europe and US for FFXIV

Square: MS unwilling to work on FFXIV 360 problems
Final Fantasy XIV director Hiromichi Tanaka has told German site 4players.de that Microsoft was unwilling to deal with Square Enix over the use of Xbox Live with the MMO.
