War of the Roses: Kingmaker is a re-release of the popular medieval combat sim, packaged with a new mode, Assault, and all DLC to date – including the vocal stylings of Brian Blessed as the Earl of Warwick. All this extra content will be added to the existing version soon, but this is a cheap way to buy in and grab all the extra DLC if you’re yet to get on board. Check out a trailer through the break, and pick it up on March 21.

Paradox Interactive and Fatshark have released the first video in a new series of trailers for War of the Roses, giving a behind-the-scenes look into the “key locales and architecture of medieval England that have helped draw inspiration for the upcoming melee game.” The video was shot documentary-style on location in York, with senior producer Gordon Van Dyke and lead designer Mårten Stormdal donning armor in order to “ransack the now peaceful city.” It will at least give you a firsthand look at the buildings, landscapes, armor, and lore that inspired the title when it launches later this year.

Paradox Interactive and Fatshark have released a developer video for the multiplayer action title War of the Roses. Upon release, the game will include over 60 different weapons to choose from, tiered skill trees, a leveling system, team-based tactical challenges and deathmatches. Game’s out in Q3. Thanks, RPS.
