With the recent success of Ubisoft’s throwback to the 80′s with the Far Cry 3 DLC Blood Dragon, it looks like they may have decided to do another throwback, this time to the original Far Cry.

A Far Cry HD listing for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has surfaced on the Brazil’s rating board site. No announcement had been made by Ubisoft, but with the success the franchise is having, it could be on the cards.

The British Academnt Games Awards have announced its nominees for this year’s award ceremony, and Thatgamecompany’s critically-acclaimed Journey is leading the pack with eight nominations. We’ve got the full list of nominees here.

Far Cry 3 patch 1.03 has been deployed for PS3. It fixes various multiplayer bugs, contains map editor improvements, and fixes some single-player issues as well. Full patch notes are below. The patch for Xbox 360 is still going through verification, but will released in “the near future.”

Far Cry 3 has a new video out showing some of the bonus content players will get when they pre-order the game. Called the Lost Expeditions, the bonus material contains 40 additional minutes of gameplay such as Ignition in the Deep and The Forgotten Experiment, and comes with a flare gun which can be used in the multiplayer mode.
