Drakengard 3 apostle companions revealed in Famitsu
Drakengard 3 star Zero won’t just be fighting enemies alongside her dragon Mikhail, as she can also summon two apostle characters to back her up in the field. Famitsu has run down a selection of these buddies in its latest issue.

Nintendo 3DS lifetime sales in Japan surpass 10 million units
Enterbrain has announced via its latest issue of Famitsu, that Nintendo 3DS sold 10,068,192 units in Japan as of January 6, 2013. The handheld has been available in the region for 98 weeks, and is the top-seller on the Media Create and Enterbrain hardware charts every week. Shiren the Wanderer 4 PSP port hits Japan in October
Spike Chunsoft told Famitsu it plans to port Shiren the Wanderer 4 to PSP and release it in October. The titles will be called Shiren the Wanderer 4 Plus on the system, and will include three new dungeons and Twitter support, according to Siliconera. The original game was released on Nintendo DS in 2010. The PSP title will run ¥4,620 at retail in Japan, and ¥4,000 through PSN.

“Unexpected” Capcom reveal planned for next issue of Famitsu
Famitsu’s planning an “unexpected” Capcom reveal for next week’s issue, according to a magazine preview translated by Andriasang. The issue hits stands on April 26, but information always leaks out the day prior. The magazine will also contain a feature on Resident Evil’s 15th anniversary, as well as a strategy guide for Operation Raccoon City and a look at other titles coming from Capcom.

Skyrim becomes first western game to get Famitsu 40/40
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the first western title to get a full score from Famitsu. The incredible Bethesda open-world RPG is the 17th game in the publication’s 25 year history to get a 40/40 in the magazine’s latest issue, according to this Japanese site via a tweet from RPGSite‘s US Editor, Erren Van Duine. Still not enough indication it’s not going to sweep every game of the year award on the planet, though (note: of course it will). Go nuts, Japanese-reading massive.

Zelda: Skyward Sword scores 40/40 in Famitsu
Famitsu’s given its biggest score, 40/40, to the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, making it the 16th game in the magazine’s history to achieve the honour and the first full score this year. This is the third time in ten years a Zelda game has has been scored at 40, with Skyward Sword following Wind Waker in 2002 and Twilight Princess in 2006. In the same issue, Batman: Arkham City scored 37/40 for both PS3 and 360, and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection got 34 on PS3 and 33 on 360.

Time Travellers gets new shots, character art ahead of L5 Vision
