This was a rather large week in MMOs as far as news went, and not all of it was Halloween related.
Past the break you will hear all about how Ultima Online is still going strong, get familiarized with the new patch for Aion, read up on Cryptic’s Blood Moon event via a dev chat, PvP henchmen and Guild Wars, Alganon’s delay, China’s ban on males playing females in games, and many other bits of stuff that didn’t hit the front page during the week.
Also, we hope everyone who plays MMOs enjoyed the Halloween and Fall festivities that their particular favorites hosted. Loads had celebrations, more than likely every single one of ‘em. If we forgot to mention your particular game, head on over to the list through the link ther and add it in the comments section so that we may give it its proper shout-out.

Loads of MMOs are planning Halloween and fall festivities for users, but some have already launched tricky goodness.
You can find out more about those past the break, but while you are headed that way you will also learn other sorts of stuff like: Legends of Norrath’s eighth expansion has launched, CrimeCraft is headed to iPhone and Facebook, and having gone free-to-play D&D Online is doing great, apparently.
Also, Star War Galaxies is overrun with zombies. That’s right. Zombies.
It’s all there kids. Enjoy.

The news this week in MMOs was a bit scarce, unless it was huge news that hit the front page – which a lot of it did.
However, there were other things going on: a new faction for EVE Online, bonus goodies for EverQuest II, content changes for Guild Wars, and a few other things you can read about on past the break.
TGS is coming up, so who knows what lies in store for us by way of new announcements.

Fallen Earth has announced that its self-titled MMO-FPS will be available via digital distribution and through retailers September 9.
The game combines first-person shooter games with character advancement and strategy elements.
Taking place in the Grand Canyon as mankind teeters on the edge of extinction, players must choose to rise above the hardships or embrace the surrounding destruction.
“We’ve been working to create a different type of MMO-something gritty and challenging that will give players an exciting and immersive gaming experience,” says Jessica Orr, product manager for Fallen Earth. “The Fallen Earth team is looking forward getting the game in the hands of our current and future fans.”
You can get more details on the game after the break in the lovely press release.

Not loads to tell you this week in the MMO update. Most news surrounding the genre was big enough for its very own post on the site.
However, to keep things the same, we have thrown all the rest into your usual Saturday post.
Final Fantasy XI players will have jobs adjusted, Runes of Magic has new playable classes, the EVE Online thief speaks out, and Funcom has no plans right now for an Anarchy Online 2.
All this and more through the jump.

“Sick of ogres, elves and pixies? So are we. Lose the tights. Bury your crystals. Quit playing with your wand. Come get the real deal. Thus ain’t Daddy’s MMO.”
That’s what the debut trailer for Fallen Earth asks the viewers.
It shows off the post-apocalyptic MMO’s settings and effects with a heavy metal guitar hammering in the background.
Interesting concept. Let’s hope the developers pull it off.
No date yet.
Watch it below the break courtesy of GameTrailers.
