Fable: The Journey demo hits XBL next month, new video doc released
A demo for Fable: The Journey will arrive on XBL for Kinect on September 17, Microsoft has announced. The firm has also released a short video documentary discussing the game’s narrative called Telling the Tale. It’s below, courtesy of MasonicGamer. Fable: The Journey will be released on Xbox 360 for Kinect October 9 on the US and October 12 in Europe.

Lionhead Studios and Random House have announced an agreement to create a “broad line of products set to expand the universe of Fable”, via two novels, multiple digital shorts, a world bible, and a strategy guide.

RedBreast announces its iOS space combat-trading is titled Rogue Star
Former Lionhead developer, James Duncan, has announced his new iOS game will be titled Rogue Star. It is currently in development at the studio he founded, RedBreast. He hopes the title will draw renewed interest from the public in the “much missed” space combat-trading genre. Details are still a sparse at the moment, but Eurogamer has one new shot of it through here. Still no date.

Fable developer Lionhead seeking MMO programmer
Famed development studio Lionhead Studios has put on a call for an experienced MMO programmer to work with them on an upcoming new project.
Unfortunately, Lionhead is unwilling to share even a tiny detail about the project just yet. When Eurogamer inquired about the nature of the project, Lionhead responded with a somewhat cheeky retort, “”Thanks for checking in with us! We’re happy to tell you all about what we’re working on. Just apply, get hired, and we promise to spill our guts!”
