Microsoft showcase – Gears 3 beta out mid-April, Fable III PC and second Reach map pack dated
Microsoft’s confirmed that it’ll launch the multiplayer beta for Gears of War 3 in mid-April in a ton of news coming out from its San Francisco showcase.

NPD October 2010: Xbox and DS lead hardware, Fallout: New Vegas hits software jackpot
It has not – for obvious reasons – been an enjoyable 24 hours for the gaming industry. But hey, it’s not quite all doom and gloom, seeing as October swung in and finally saved software sales from their six-month downward tumble. Also, Microsoft’s looking pretty pleased with itself on both the software and hardware fronts. Everyone else, though? Not so much.

Molyneux: Fable not limited to trilogy
Peter Molyneux has said Fable is not necessarily limited to a trilogy. Speaking to Inside Xbox at the Eurogamer Expo, the developer said anyone completing Fable III will see there’s no suggestion the game is the end of the series.
