Eurogamer goes live with full relaunch
Eurogamer.net has gone live with its well-anticipated relaunch after a private beta period, showing a radical new take on one of Britain’s most popular games sites. Gone is the static centre content column and obvious ordering of articles by type, replaced instead with article feeds based on date and popularity.
It’s getting hammered at the moment, so you may have trouble getting it loaded, but it is there. Congrats to all involved.

Setting up EG Expo Leeds – pics
If you’re wondering why the site hasn’t been updated much since the early evening yesterday, it’s because I was travelling up to the Eurogamer Expo in Leeds, which opens today. Get some pics of the unopened show and the Eurogamer crew setting it up after the break.
As you can see, some of the industry’s biggest upcoming games are going to be playable at the event today, including Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2 and God of War III.
We’ll be there all day, covering panels on games like Brink, and hopefully grabbing some videos of the bigger stuff for you as we go along.
And remember – the show’s completely sold out, as is its London leg later this week. There are no tickets on the door, either, so if you didn’t buy one you’ll have to wait until next year.

EG gives Brutal Legend 8/10
After the first IGN-exclusive Brutal Legend reviews yesterday, EG’s gone live with an 8/10.
Snip:
It’s probably Brutal Legend’s characters that win out. Since the days when he provided dialogue options for Guybrush Threepwood, Schafer’s secret skill has been to people his games with lovable oddballs who quickly start to feel like friends, creating bonds strong enough to ensure you forgive some of the ropier moments. In this case, Schafer, Double Fine, and Black haven’t just created a story about roadies: they’ve become them, scuttling about energetically, heads down and minds focused, as they pull a handful of simple props together in order to put on an amazing show.
You can get it in the US now, and Play appears to be selling it in the UK, despite the fact it’s not supposed to come out until Friday over here.
