The Elder Scrolls Online has a new video detailing the systems players will use to build the character they want to play and explore Tamriel with. Have a look at character progression in action below. ESO is currently in beta and upon release will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Elder Scrolls Online beta keys are hitting inboxes, according to ZemiMax Online. The firm confirmed in a blog post today that more have been sent out, so you may wish to check your email in case it slipped past your eyes. More invitations to the ESO beta test are going out soon, so if perchance, like us, you didn’t receive an invite, just be patient. The Elder Scrolls Online has a character customization video available in which art director Jared Carr demonstrates the system for you. It looks rather robust and is full of options. Hopefully this means there won’t be too many doppelgangers running around. Watch below. The MMO hits PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2014.

The Elder Scrolls Online was going to be a PC-only title until Bethesda was approached by Sony’s VP of publisher and developer relations, Adam Boyes, according to a Game Informer interview.

The website for The Elder Scrolls Online has launched, Bethesda has announced. The firm said the site will be regularly updated with new features, developer diaries, screenshots, art, and more of what you would expect. An introduction to the main story has been posted, a developer diary discussing the Future of the Past in The Elder Scrolls, as well as a comparison piece showing locations from previous Elder Scrolls games and how they will appear in TESO. Shots and artwork posted were posted Monday.

Matt Firor, game director for The Elder Scrolls Online, has said the MMO ZeniMax Online is working on is not as WoW-ish as many seem to think.
