Ghost Recon Online is joining the eSpots line-up thanks to a partnership between the ESL and Ubisoft. A seven-week series of matches will begin in both Europe and the US September 16 with the top four teams earning a spot in the continental Final Playoffs. Teams must consist of anywhere between six and 20 players in order to battle it out for the €5,000 cash prize. Red 5 Studios and the Electronic Sports League have announced Go4Firefall, a tournament offering cash prizes on both sides of the pond.

The Electronic Sports League and Paradox will be hosting a live event for The Showdown Effect on Wednesday, February 20, starting at 20:00 CET. During the event, 50 people from the audience will participate in team battles to win a share of a €5,000 prize pool. The entire event will also be streamed live on ESL TV. The Showdown Effect is scheduled for release on March 5.

Independent eSports league ESL has announced a Dota 2 tournament offering $156,000 across four seasons in 2013. The tournament is not affiliated with Valve’s official competitions, and is open to European teams only. It’s the largest Dota 2 competition in the region and will be broadcast live on ESL TV.
