Report – UK games sales overtook video in 2011
The UK”s Electronic Retailing Association estimates video games have finally overtaken movies and TV in terms of total sales.

ERA: Videogames UK’s fastest growing entertainment retail sector of 2008
The Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) has announced that videogames is the fastest growing entertainment sector in the UK at retail level.
The statement comes off the back of reports that the games market recorded unit sales of 82.8 million in 2008 which is a 17 percent rise from the previous year.
According to Reuters this growth was driven by the enormous popularity of Nintendo Wii.
