EPIX app now available on PS3 in North America
EPIX, the subscription entertainment network, is now available on PS3 in North America. The service contains 3,000 new release and classic feature films, as well as “concerts, comedy specials, sports, and other original programming.” Every PSN user can sign up for a free 14-day trial, and a new movie will be released every week for Plus members to stream for free. You can head over the US PS Blog for more information, and find the app through the TV/Video Services category on the XMB, as well as in the “Media & Apps” section of the PS Store. It will be made available on Vita later this spring.

Sony has announced EPIX, the subscription entertainment network, will be made available on PS3 and Vita. The service boasts over 3,000 new release and classic feature films, as well as “concerts, comedy specials, sports, and other original programming.” The service is currently available to cable, satellite, and telco TV users online, and via other devices and will be a free, downloadable app in the US when it lands on PS3 during Q1 2013 and on Vita in the spring.
