Junction Point has released a third developer diary for Epic Mickey 2 : The Power of Two, in which Warren Spector talks about working with comic book legend Marv Wolfman in developing the story behind the title. Watch it below. Game’s out on Mac, PC, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 in the US on November 18 and in the UK on November 23.

A new video featuring Warren Spector dishing details on Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion has been released. In the clip, which was shown during Nintendo Direct, Spector outlines some of the gameplay features which contain platforming as well as paint mechanics akin to the console version of Epic Mickey. According to the man himself, the gameplay is a cross between Castle of Illusion and the original Epic Mickey. He also tells you a bit about the plot as well. Have a watch below. Thanks, NWR.

Screenshots for Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion have landed on the interwebs. Check them out below. The 3DS game will contain a drawing and painting function allowing players to create rough versions of objects which will “magically transform into classic Disney-style 2D illustrations.”

Warren Spector has said he and the team at Junction Point wanted to do another Epic Mickey game because there were still stories they wanted to tell set in the Wasteland.

Warren Spector will be revealing his latest title on March 27, according comments made to French fansite Nintendo-Master. On that date, Spector will announce an “epic project,” which hints that it could be the next installment for Epic Mickey. Rumors that the title was in development for PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 surfaced back in January, and the report stated it would contain two-player splitscreen and release in the fall. We’ll throw Disney a line and see if we get a bite.

Shots from a what appears to be a Disney survey, suggest the firm is determining whether or not there is sufficient interest in developing Epic Mickey 2.

Whilst Epic Mickey’s gameplay may have been a mixed bag, its art style was striking. A number of new concept pieces have been posted on French website PixAzura. Have a gander.

Although Warren Spector has made some hopeful sequel noises, Disney doesn’t appear amused by Epic Mickey’s poor critical and commercial performance. Industry figures are talking about significant layoffs at the Junction Point studio.

Raul Ramirez, producer at Junction Point, has said talks are going on over at the studio regarding the possibility of bringing Epic Mickey to PS3 and Xbox 360 now that Move is out and Kinect is coming soon.
