The Legend of Zelda team is “more careful” over artistic direction after initial negativity surrounding Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has said the team is cautious when it comes to designing the look of new Zelda titles after the initial, negative reaction to 2002′s The Wind Waker.

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has been talking about The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds quite a bit recently, mainly about difficulty levels, the number of staff working on the project and how the game had to be tweaked to look right on 2DS which released last week.

Legend of Zelda series director Eiji Aonuma has told Polygon that while the his team doesn’t have the “bandwidth” to remake Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess in HD, “but maybe it will happen if someone else does it”. The conversation came as a part of Aonuma mentioning that his team demo’d the Wii Zeldas in HD before eventually deciding Wind Waker needed a remastering most.
