Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances announced by EA
EA’s announced Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances as a browser-based strategy MMO. Being developed by Ultima Online developer Phenomic, it’ll be set within the C&C: Tiberium universe, and is built around HTML5, meaning it can be accessed through any web-compatible device. The announcement of Tiberium Alliances comes as it was announced at the VGAs that BioWare Victory is developing C&C: Generals 2 as a PC exclusive for 2013.

BattleForge ups to DirectX 11 support
EA RTS BattleForge has become the first title to “leverage Microsoft’s DirectX 11 and AMD’s new ATI graphic processor chipset,” the publisher said this morning.
This is a “significant first for the title,” according to EA. You can play the game for free right here.

Two new Battleforge maps today

EA’s to release two new maps for card-based RTS Battleforge today, representing the beginning of something called “the Renegade Campaign”.
The new levels are called MO and Blight, the former being a single-player thing.

Battleforge gets launch trailer

EA has put out the launch trailer for its Phenomic Studio-developed, online trading card strategy title, Battleforge.
Looks good if you like a bit of fantasy and fireballs – which we do.

Battleforge beta registration now open
EA’s opened beta registration to card-based RTS Battleforge: hit the official site if you want to get involved.
The game sees the player throwing cards onto the battlefield to add troops to combat, and was shown for the first time at EA’s London preview event earlier this year.
It’s supposed to be out this year, but there’s no fixed date on it as yet.

First Battleforge trailer released
It’s on Gamershell. We’ve got an interview to transcribe on this, so we’ll do that later. The online-only, card-based EA RTS was looking very neat when we saw it, so do take a look at the footage.

EA announces card-based RTS, BattleForge
EA’s put out a press release making first mention of BattleForge, a card-based, online-only RTS from Germany studio EA Phenomic.
“BattleForge is the next step in compelling RTS gameplay by taking the battles completely online,” said dev boss Richard Leinfellner. “With co-op play, challenging tournaments, Guilds, chat rooms and a robust marketplace for trading and buying your cards, BattleForge is the first RTS to add integral social and community components to an exciting fantasy RTS.”
