For those who become a bit confused whenever the economy is mentioned in EVE Online, and are wondering how it will be implemented in DUST 514 should head over to the PS Blog. According to the CCP developer entry on the PS3 shooter, which explains how it all works: “interplanetary violence is its own reward, but we’re always striving to reward your destructive tendencies in other ways. ISK, SP, and Salvage are just three of the ways your time pays off. Every victory, every kill, every clone, brings you one step closer toward being the scourge of the stars.” Sounds harrowing. Go have a read. DUST 514 will remain in closed beta until sometime next year.

DUST 514 has a new developer video available which takes a look ay how vehicle classes provide “a rock-solid foundation for exploring specialized roles.” According to the developers, as a player’s persona progresses, they will have the choice to unlock advanced vehicle variants “that fill unique roles on the battlefield.” Some of these include Logistical Dropships and Marauder HAVs.
