Red Thread Games has ramped production up on Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey. Development of the Kickstarted sequel to Ragnar Tørnquist’s classic adventures is now in full swing, and the studio is busy hiring new staff and looking for cast members. Hit the break to hear the crew chat about how it’s going so far; heretofore unseen portions of the game will be shown at a conference in June, so presumably the short answer is “quite well, thank you”.

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey will release in November 2014 according to the latest trailer for the game. The Kickstarter project has hit $1,134,431 seven days left. Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey has hit its $1 million stretch goal, which means the game will be given an extended journey along with new characters.

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey has met its funding goal, developer Red Thread Games announced on Kickstarter. The goal was met with 21 days to go with 13,103 backers pledging $854,201 towards the $800,000 goal. A $900,000 stretch goal has been added, which will ensure the release of Mac and Linux versions, and the $950,000 goal will include the Loremaster. Should funding hit $1 million, the length of the of the game will be extended. More stretch goals will be announced as funding progresses. A new video message from the team is through the link.
