Despite a less than stellar promotion period, Dead Island: Riptide has debuted at number one in the UK games chart. The zombie title appears to have accumulated less than half the launch week sales of the original game, but still manages to come out on top.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen releases next week, and Capcom has seen fit to show off more of the enemies you will encounter in it. You can re-watch part one here if you like. The DLC comes with a new underground realm, and allows owners of the original game can export their existing save data over. Those new to the game can start from scratch as it contains all content from the original release. Dark Arisen is out April 23 in North America and April 26 in Europe both digitally and through retail.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen releases later this month, and to prep you for battle on Bitterblack Isle, Capcom has released a new combat video. It introduces some of the game’s new enemy types such as Pyre Saurians, the Eliminator, and Death. It also provides the viewer with a few tips on how to defeat them in combat. Check it out below. Dark Arisen will be available April 23 in North America and across Europe on April 26 for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Capcom has released a new trailer for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen showing off Mystic Knight gameplay. Dark Arisen is due in the west in late April, and includes new features and content in addition to the entire original game. It will be available both at retail and as a download for PS3 and Xbox 360 for €29.99/£19.99.

Dragons’ Dogma has received a new trailer, which gives you a look at the Dark Arisen DLC. In it, the sorcerer goes up against the Poisoned Undead, Banshees as well as the Gold and Silver Knights. The DLC comes a new underground realm, and allows owners of the original game to export their existing save data. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen mostly takes place in the underground caverns of Bitterblack Isle. Capcom has shed light on how players will literally ‘shed light’ within the dark catacombs using Rift crystals. The publisher has also released a batch of new screens.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen arrives in Japan in late April, where it’s releasing on a PlayStation 3 disc at retail rather than as DLC. The expansion’s hefty ¥4,990 price tag has been explained by word from this week’s Famitsu, via Gematsu‘s translation of Japanese reports, that it includes the full original RPG. The expansion, which supports save game transfer and includes new features such as persistent enemy corpses, has not been confirmed for western release.

Capcom Japan has confirmed an April 25 release date for Dark Arisen, a major expansion to Dragon’s Dogma. The date was shown in a trailer seen in a Famitsu livestream, according to Siliconera, so at this point should be considered relevant to Japan only. Dragon’s Dogma released worldwide in May 2012, though, so a global sim-ship is not out of the question. Dark Arisen is expected as DLC on both platforms in the west but will ship on-disc in Japan.

Shots of Dragon’s Dogma have landed on Siliconera. The shots show off the Dark Arisen expansion slated for release next year.
