PSN to go down tonight for maintenance

psnlogo2

SCEA‘s announced that the PlayStation Network will be down today from 9am PST to 11am PST, that’s 5pm BST to 7pm BST tonight.

At that time, you wont be able to play games online, wont be able to sign into the PSN and you’ll see a maintenance page for whenever you try to access the PSN at all.

This must be linked to the SCEE conference in Cologne tonight: most likely for new PSN features and/or the EU PSN video store that’s been long overdue. We smell a rat, a big one at that.

We’ll most likely find out tonight why it was down.

Age of Conan back after short outage

ageofconan15.jpg

Conan’s mighty strength wasn’t enough to heft the prodigious weight of his game’s masses, seemingly. Massively’s reporting that Age of Conan’s servers suffered a proper outage today, causing user trouble on an official thread you can only see if you’ve got a game key.

Fortunately, Funcom’s now confirmed that the servers are back up and ready to go, so get in there. You’ve got ages of lost time to make up for.

“On Monday April 21st from 0200-1000 PT Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance. As a result, the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won’t be able to post.) The remainder of Xbox.com will be available,” he wrote.
