UK games journos go racing in bangers for DiRT Showdown
Codies has released a brand new DiRT Showdown, showing a recent day out involving UK games journalists going racing in bangers. Spotted in it is Eurogamer’s Martin Robinson, OXM’s Jon Hicks and X360A’s Danny Cheevo, to name a few. Get the video after the break.

DiRT Showdown PC demo now available
The PC demo for DiRT Showdown is now available on Steam. The taster includes one single-player race, 8-ball, which takes players through San Francisco and across the Golden Gate bridge. If you challenge a friend, you’ll also be able try out the eight-player Rampage mode. The demo supports RaceNet, Codemasters’ answer to Autolog, and signing up nets you $20,000 of in-game currency when the game launches. You can also grab the demo from the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live Arcade. DiRT Showdown launches on May 25.

DiRT Showdown demo pops up on Xbox Live Marketplace
Codemasters has gone live with the DiRT Showdown demo on Xbox Live Marketplace. The taster will give players a mix of single-player content with a race of 8 Ball in San Francisco and multiplayer mode Rampage, as well as the beta of new racing service RaceNet. Get the demo queued here. It comes in at 1.16Gb.
It’ll go live on US PSN and PC later on today, with EU PSN getting it tomorrow.

DiRT Showdown gets first in-game video
Codemasters has released the first in-game trailer of DiRT Showdown following its announcement back at the end of the year. The video shows off a mode known as Nevada 8-Ball. What is it? Find out for yourself below the break. It’s out in May for PS3, 360 and PC.

DiRT Showdown launching on PS3, 360, PC in May
Codemasters has announced DiRT Showdown, an arcady-type iteration of the rally series that will focus on aspects such as gymkhana, destruction derby and more. Three types of event make up Showdown: standard racing, stunt racing and destruction. As well as being playable alone, there’s split-screen and online for up to eight players. The release of Showdown will support a fourth DiRT iteration in the future. There’s a hands-on report over at GameSpot. The first trailer is below.
