Diablo 3 updated patch 1.0.7 notes released for Public Test Realm
Blizzard has updated the Public Test Realm patch notes for Diablo 3. Through the notes, you will find some balances mentioned, the usual bug fixes, drop rate changes, account-bound craftable items with boosted stats, a damage boost for rubies, PvP duelling changes regarding damage reduction, along with changes to reflected damage. Diablo 3 patch 1.0.5 to include “appear offline” option
Diablo 3 patch 1.0.5 will contain an option to allow players to appear offline. This will keep Chatty Cathy types from bothering you while in the middle of being swarmed, or if you just want to be incognito, it’s for that as well. The option will also be available in World of Warcraft and StarCraft 2 sometime after the release of each game’s upcoming expansion.

Diablo 3 – Blizzard issues small sneak peek at update 1.0.5
Diablo 3′s update 1.0.5 is coming, and Blizzard has issued a sneak peek at the contents regarding defensive skill changes, the new Infernal Machine event, and the new Monster Power system. The developer said to look for more articles on what to expect with the patch in “the coming days.” Hopefully the wait on the actual patch won’t be much longer.

Diablo 3 developer entry explains Crowd Control changes in update 1.0.5
The latest Diablo 3 developer journal has outlined plans Blizzard has for a buff which sets new rules for how mobs will react to crowd control effects. According to the post, crowd control resistance stat which builds when effects are applied and diminishes when they are not will be applied to mobs. There’s a chart any everything explaining how the developers came about the original implementation of CC buff, and how they will change with update 1.0.5 through the link. Diablo 3 Demon Hunter and Witch Doctor patch previews live
Diablo 3 fans should go have a look at the patch preview pages for the Demon Hunter and Witch Doctor, which are now live. Each character page has details on class changes expected with version 1.0.4, which is due before the end of the month. The Witch Doctor seems to be getting the most developer attention with the patch, and Blizzard is also having a look at Hungering Arrow, currently the best-performing Hatred Generator for Demon Hunters. Diablo III hotfix increases high-end loot drops in Hell, Inferno modes
Blizzard has issued a hotfix for Diablo III which increases the chance of high-end loot drops by monsters in all Inferno acts, and acts 3 and 4 in Hell mode. The chance of looting level 63 items have also increases significantly, and bosses are now guaranteed one Rare item at the least for players with four stacks of Nephalem Valor. If a player has five stacks of Nephalem Valor, bosses will drop at least two Rare items. Blizzard to offer Diablo III refunds in Korea to those below level 40
Blizzard is handing out refunds to players of Diablo III in South Korean over server issues stemming from Error 37. The firm’s refund policy originally allow for returns of a game already used, but South Korean law guarantees refunds of products within seven days; therefore, the firm had to comply. Players under level 40 can apply for a refund starting June 25 and until July 3, and going forward, those who are level 20 and below can obtain a refund within two weeks of purchase date. Those above level 40 are out of luck. Last month, the Korean Fair Trade Commission steeped into Blizzard’s Seoul offices to investigate after numerous claims were filed against the firm. Via WSJ.

Korean Fair Trade Commission raids Blizzard’s Seoul office over Diablo III complaints
Blizzard’s Seoul offices were raided by Korean authorities this week due to customer complaints filed with the country’s Fair Trade Commission. Customers complained to the body Blizzard refused to offer refunds to players unhappy with the game, and the FTC is currently investigating whether the firm was “ill-prepared” for the amount of players crushing its game servers. It is also looking into whether Blizzard’s no-return policy violates Korean law on electronic commerce and commercial contracts. A spokeperson for the FTC told The Korean Times it had received enough complaints from Diablo III players to launch the investigation, despite Blizzard adding more servers to help alleviate some of the player crush. If the firm is found to be acting counter to FTC laws, it will be forced to issue refunds to those who request it. Thanks, Shack.
