Battlefield 4′s Commander Mode detailed, 64-player Siege of Shanghai multiplayer shown
DICE came on stage during the EA E3 press event to talk about Battlefield 4 and Commander Mode. Thanks to Battlelog you can also play anywhere and jump into it on various devices. Siege of Shanghai multiplayer mode was shown which allows for up to 64-players. This was shown live on stage. A team of five were shown playing with the other 59. Watch below.

Star Wars: Battlefront announced as in the works at DICE
EA labels boss Frank Gibeau came on stage at the EA press event to talk about Frostbite 3 and EA Sports Ignite to show games built on those engines. DICE game shown first. It’s an “all new blockbuster.” It was Battlefront, and a small glimpse was shown. A tease rather. It’s below.

Battlefield 4: Second Assault will be released first on Xbox One
Battlefield 4: Second Assault, a multiplayer map pack, will be released first on Xbox One. The single-player demo of the “Angry Sea” mission was shown. You can get on a boat and shoot enemies. Battlefield 4 drops across North America on October 29, for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and will hit PS4 and Xbox One in due course. It’s out November 1 in Europe. A video shown at the conference is below.

Mirror’s Edge 2 domains updated by EA
Mirror’s Edge 2 is in the news again this week, thanks to EA re-upping its ownership of the domain. Granted, that’s standard practice for any corporation that owns and IP, still, with a listing popping up on Amazon Germany, an Amazon Italy listing for Xbox One, and a page for it appearing on EA’s help site – all signs point to an probable announcement at E3. Mirror’s Edge 2 listing pops up on Amazon Germany
Another day, another hope that Mirror’s Edge 2 will be released sooner rather than later. Today, a listing popped up for it on Amazon Germany. AGB has posted a screengrab of the placeholder listing just in case it vanishes. ngmoco Sweden’s Ben Cousins, previously GM of EA’s Easy Studio said last year he’d heard the game was in the works at DICE. This was around the time that EA Games vice-president Patrick Soderlund said DICE was currently working on non-Battlefield titles. E3? Who knows. Keep hope alive.
