The latest Diablo 3 developer journal has outlined plans Blizzard has for a buff which sets new rules for how mobs will react to crowd control effects. According to the post, crowd control resistance stat which builds when effects are applied and diminishes when they are not will be applied to mobs. There’s a chart any everything explaining how the developers came about the original implementation of CC buff, and how they will change with update 1.0.5 through the link. It should help explain to players why effects diminish as the game progresses. Thanks, >Blue.

Golly Blizzard, don’t sit on your hands or anything. Just days after promising and then enabling commodity trading on Diablo III’s auction house, the publisher has added gold trading to its offerings. So, yes, you can buy in-game cash with real money now. Since your mind has just been blown by legal and possibly even profitable gold farming, there’s room to put in some new things, like a warning that buying gold from any external service is strictly forbidden. Not to mention totally redundant.

Well, that was fast. Having promised to add gems, dyes, crafting materials, plans, designs and training pages to Diablo III’s real money auction house late last week, the publisher has pushed out patch 1.0.3b, which does just that. It also smacks a few bugs of course; see the full patch notes here. The patch is live on the North America server and rolling out to other territories, so you might need to put your trading on hold for a few hours. Blizzard has also promised gold trading is on the way, too.
