Diablo 3 fans should go have a look at the patch preview pages for the Demon Hunter and Witch Doctor, which are now live. Each character page has details on class changes expected with version 1.0.4, which is due before the end of the month. The Witch Doctor seems to be getting the most developer attention with the patch, and Blizzard is also having a look at Hungering Arrow, currently the best-performing Hatred Generator for Demon Hunters. Golly Blizzard, don’t sit on your hands or anything. Just days after promising and then enabling commodity trading on Diablo III’s auction house, the publisher has added gold trading to its offerings. So, yes, you can buy in-game cash with real money now. Since your mind has just been blown by legal and possibly even profitable gold farming, there’s room to put in some new things, like a warning that buying gold from any external service is strictly forbidden. Not to mention totally redundant.

Well, that was fast. Having promised to add gems, dyes, crafting materials, plans, designs and training pages to Diablo III’s real money auction house late last week, the publisher has pushed out patch 1.0.3b, which does just that. It also smacks a few bugs of course; see the full patch notes here. The patch is live on the North America server and rolling out to other territories, so you might need to put your trading on hold for a few hours. Blizzard has also promised gold trading is on the way, too.

Blizzard has issued a hotfix for Diablo III which increases the chance of high-end loot drops by monsters in all Inferno acts, and acts 3 and 4 in Hell mode. The chance of looting level 63 items have also increases significantly, and bosses are now guaranteed one Rare item at the least for players with four stacks of Nephalem Valor. If a player has five stacks of Nephalem Valor, bosses will drop at least two Rare items. The list of hotfixes can be found through here, but note that if you have yet to finish the game on Normal difficulty, the list may contain some spoilers.
