Destiny site updated with answers to your burning questions, new artwork

Activision has sent word that Bungie’s updated its Destiny site with answers to fan-submitted questions. If you head through the link, you’ll find information regarding pre-order incentives such as posters, a new piece of art work (which is also posted below) and what was up with the Bungie team’s hands during the PS4 event. Destiny is slated for release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and other “future gen” consoles.

Destiny pre-order posters hitting GameStop

A GameStop source close to Joystiq has sent over shots of a pre-order poster for Destiny – the game Bungie is expected to reveal on Sunday. The posters are expected to be placed in stores Monday, and the accompanying paperwork describes the game as one where you create your “own character, earn unique and customizable weapons, gear and vehicles in an always-connected universe,” says Joystiq. Destiny is said to be a FPS containing public and social activities along with co-op and multiplayer. We’ll find out more Sunday.

Bungie announces Destiny, confirms February 17 reveal

Bungie will reveal Destiny next week, it has announced. The firm opened a teaser site, which we told you about earlier today, and the developer has now opened an official Twitter account – confirming the name. Destiny will also be present in some capacity at GDC in March, and is believed to be a social science fiction title. Bungie released a teaserlast week, and the first Destiny game is expected to release this year, according to the initial announcement with Activision.

Bungie’s Destiny is “quite like Halo”, according to DemonWare – rumor

Bungie may be using DemonWare, the subsidiary of Activision-Blizzard which specializes in online software and services for videogames, for its next game, presumably titled Destiny. According to a DemonWare blog post, which has been removed, the game “is still quite like Halo” and the firm has been involved with Destiny since the early stages of the project.
