European PlayStation Plus members are in for a hell of a treat next month – when the service offers Demon’s Souls and the HD versions of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD as free titles.

US PS Plus update – Demon’s Souls free with four more games this month
This month, North American subscribers can expect at least five games for free from PlayStation Plus. The headliner is definitely this week’s free title – Dark Souls sibling Demon’s Souls – but there’s also Malicious and Labyrinth Legends for PS3, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny for PSP and Vita, and Zombie Tycoon 2 for PS3 and Vita. As for this week, members will score discounts on The Walking Dead; Rainbow Moon; and Söldner-X.

Demons Souls servers to remain online for the “foreseeable future”
Atlus has announced’s its extend the service period of Demons Souls in North American for the “foreseeable future.” Announced in an Atlus Faithful email inking to Game Informer, VP of marketing and sales Tim Pivnicny said: “We’re incredibly excited to be able to announce that the Demon’s Souls online experience will persist for a while longer. While it originally seemed as though it would be unfeasible for us to continue to sustain the servers, a number of developments have made it possible for us to continue to invest in and support our fans as they have continued to invest in and support us and Demon’s Souls.” The servers were originally slated to shut down at the end of May. For Memorial Day Weekend, the Tendency Event will be a Pure White World through Monday, so don’t forget to log on.

Demon’s Souls US servers shutting down May 31
Atlus has said it will shut down North American servers for Demon’s Souls on May 31, and as a last hurrah, two separate World Tendency events will be held next month May 1-15 and May 16-31. The game’s single-player mode will, of course, remain unaffected.
