Challenging top-down racer Fuel Overdose has pupped a demo, which arrives in this week’s North American PlayStation Store update and hits Europe the following week. The taster has one track, Prague; three characters, Odessa, Noa and Rosa; and three vehicles, Cadiz, Kashiwa and El Paso.

Konami has published a demo for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate on the European 3DS eShop. The demo includes a slice of Trevor’s campaign, but the full version of the “2.5D” side-scroller stars both Trevor and Simon Belmont, and boasts of a deep combat system, tons of secrets and gigantic bosses. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate arrives on 3DS on March 8, and selected retailers are offering three character posters as a pre-order bonus.

March of the Eagles is now available in taster form via a freshly-released Steam demo. The tightly-focused strategy effort is all about warfare, rather than national management, and takes in a ten year slice of the Napoleonic Wars. It’ll still bend your brain through five dimensions, though.

The God of War: Ascension single-player demo will be released next week to the “winning team” in the Rise of the Warrior social challenge. It’s a week earlier than when everyone else gets it on February 26. The first team playing as Spartans or Trojansto to hit 10-million points, will earn said early access to the demo on February 20. Konami has ramped up its Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance promotion across the last couple of weeks. Keeping with recent tradition, the publisher has released a trailer focusing on boss battles.

No No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch arrives in demo form this week, the highlight of a pretty packed US PlayStation Store update. Destructoid reports the demo also arrives on the European PlayStation Network this week, on Wednesday December 5. The taster feature two environments and allows you to tackle two bosses, the Guardian of the Woods and Moltaan. Ni No Kuni, a collaboration between Level-5 and the animation masters at Studio Ghibli, is a PlayStation 3 exclusive due in January 2013.

A God of War: Ascension demo will be available for a limited time to those who purchase Total Recall on Blu-ray. The featured demo is the single player material from E3 2012. Total Recall goes on sale on December 18; God of War: Ascension isn’t expected till March 2013. More details on the PS Blog.

FIFA 13′s demo was released on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 this week, and EA has just revealed that the trial has set a series record, with over 1.99 million people downloads so far.

FIFA 13 will receive a European demo from EA Sports between 10am-2pm tomorrow on Xbox Live, and on PS3 at some point on Wednesday. The publisher has also revealed what teams will be playable in the demo.

In case one baffling moon-language taster wasn’t enough for you, Square Enix will release a new Bravely Default demo this week. The new sampling includes five jobs – the Knight, Red Mage, Mystic Knight, Freelancer and Super Star – and according to Andriasang will allow you to try some customisation, like job changing, too. The AR-heavy 3DS RPG hits Japan on October 11 but has not been confirmed for release in other territories.

Fun Bits Interactive team lead, Chris Millar, has taken to the EU PS blog to report that a demo for stylised Vita puzzler, Escape Plan, has returned to PSN.

Millar took time to assure people that any technical issues that they may have experienced with previous versions of the demo have been squished out of existence: “Some Minions escaped shortly after release and they jacked up the download for a few people. We’re glad to report that all the Minions have been sacked and that the issue has now been addressed,” he wrote on the blog.

Escape Plan is out now for PS Vita. Earlier this year the 96-level puzzler tickled the top of the Vita charts, DLC that adds an additional 19 levels is also available.

A demo of Kim Swift’s reality-defying puzzler Quantum Conundrum is now available for download via Steam. This is a great chance to get hands-on time if you’re in two minds about making a purchase. The Airtight Games-developed puzzler had Kim Swift as its lead designer, who formerly served as lead designer on Valve’s Portal. The game released back in June 21 on Steam, and is due out on PS3 on July 10, and Xbox 360 on July 11.
