We were expecting Saints Row 4 to be released in Australia in its approved “low-violence version” on August 22, the same week everyone else gets it, but retailers claim that is no longer the case. EB Games AU now lists August 30 as the game’s release date, and on Steam it now carries an unlock date of September 20, although the season pass for the game still says August 20. We’ve reached out to Deep Silver for comment.

And when we say “slight,” we mean it. Suda 51′s latest descent into unspeakable (and unspeakably bizarre) madness has taken a two week tumble. Now dated for June 21, the game was originally set to hit shelves on June 7. If you need something to do while you’re coping with this seismic shift in the year’s release calendar, you can always read our GDC impressions and giggle at the game’s “boner” gun mode. Thanks, GameSpot.

Know what’s tons of fun? Huh? Well, yes, Child of Eden probably fits that description. But we’re talking about something abstract and ineffable. All right, yes, Child of Eden could also be described using those words. We, however, are looking for the term patience. And hey, PS3 owners, aren’t you lucky? You get both to have both – whether you want to or not. IGN‘s reporting that Child of Eden’s PS3 version won’t be dropping until September. Sorry, folks. It’s like they say: that’s the way the flower-like organism with a Japanese girl’s face inside crumbles.

Not all betas function as glorified demos while their creators sip champagne, run victory laps, and then come to the very unpleasant realization that physically mixing metaphors probably isn’t the best idea. Case in point: the PlayStation Rewards Program. Its beta is nearly across the finish line, but it’s far from home free.
