WiiWare now live in the US
Wii download service WiiWare’s now launched in the US, Joystiq reports.
The channel offers 40Mb-ish games for various amounts of Wii Points, the one we’re hankering after most being Frontier’s LostWinds. You can find the full line-up after the link.
WiiWare has already launched in Japan and hits Europe on May 20.

WiiWare Europe date remains off limits
While Wii download service WiiWare has now been confirmed for a May 12 release in the US, Nintendo UK is refusing to be drawn on when we can expect to see the initiative in Europe.
“We’re not announcing Euro plans on this right now,” said a Nintendo UK rep, who also refused to give details on when we can expect to see an announcement.
Games confirmed for WiiWare so far are David Braben’s LostWinds and Flash-native disposable Defend You Castle. Braben declined to tell us when the service is to launch just before GDC, saying only that Nintendo was “very sensitive” on the subject at the moment.
Big delay for Europe? Say it isn’t so.

Defend Your Castle WiiWare will cost 500 WPs
XGen has confirmed that its mini-siege engine Defend Your Castle will be heading to WiiWare “early 2008″, and has also announced that the game will cost 500 Wii Points. You can play a Flash version through that link. The pricing’s a good indication for other WiiWare titles. All we need now is a European release date for the service, and we’re away.
