Dead Space 3 is out February 8th across Europe. To tie in with the launch, Titan Books is publishing ‘The Art of Dead Space’, a new book crammed full of detailed art from across the series. The publisher has sent us some art samples for you to check out before the book releases on February 5th.

During the time she spent with Dead Space 3, Brenna Hillier didn’t experience any quick time events, didn’t end up in a boss battle every few minutes, and didn’t mow down waves of enemies. The demo this is not.

Dead Space 3 has received a launch trailer entitled ‘Take Down the Terror’. Visceral Games’ horror-shooter launches across the US February 5th, Australia February 7th and Europe a day after. Check out the clip after the cut.

Dead Space 3′s microtransaction store first surfaced via this photo and with it, a torrent of complaints from gamers followed. Visceral stepped in to say that the payments were not boosters, but time savers. Now the studio has discussed the payment model in more detail in a new interview, saying that it gives players “instant gratification.”

The Demo for Dead Space 3 is now available on Xbox Live for Gold members, no code required. You can check availability for your region through Xbox Live, and toss it in your queue while you’re at it. Dead Space 3 releases on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in early February.

Dead Space 3 delivers a new brand of horror when compared to the scare tactics used in Visceral’s previous instalments. As such, the game’s associate producer Yara Khoury has explained that gamers have taken time to get used to the idea behind co-op, John Carver’s hallucinations and the wider expanses of ice planet Tau Volantis. In short, Visceral says it’s still scary.

Dead Space 3 concept art has appeared online, courtesy of Enizr. The artwork shows weapons like the Ripper, Tesla Beam and a Line Gun, as well as the Legionary and Snow suit armor. A demo for Dead Space 3 will go live on January 20, but if you have an Origin account, you an get in on it early. Dead Space 3 is out in February for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Head below for the shots.

A reminder that, from today, EA is offering early access to the Dead Space 3 demo to Xbox 360 owners who sign-up via the Dead Space 3 demo website. As previously reported, an EA Origin account is required to complete the process, which will see you gain access to the demo ahead of its general release next week.
Dead Space 3 launches in February on 360, PS3 and PC.

This Thursday the NPD Group will publish its December sales report and according to Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter the news will not be cheerful. The decline of Call of Duty and Nintendo’s inability to spark strong sales are just two key areas of concern for the analyst.
