Update 10 now live for DC Universe Online
DCUO Update 10 is now live and contains On Duty UI which has been rebuilt for faster grouping and more convenience. It also contains bug fixes and general tweaks. The patch notes are here. SOE has said the third DLC pack for DC Universe Online, The Battle for Earth, “will soon be available” for download on PC and PS3.

DC Universe Online Lightning Strikes DLC launching on December 6
SOE said this morning that the DC Universe Lightning Strikes DLC, announced earlier this month, will release on December 6. The update includes a new Flash adventure, electricity powers and loads more. It’s free for subs, $10 for everyone else. DCUO went free-to-play on PC and PS3 in October.

DC Universe Online gains 120,000 new PC players after going free-to-play
SOE president John Smedley announced on Twitter today that 120,000 new players signed up for DC Universe Online on PC since going free-to-play on November 1. Smedley also revealed that the game’s number of concurrent users increased 400% during that time. Numbers for the PS3 version were not provided. The game has seen a few server issues since Tuesday due to the influx of new players, but hopefully Sony will get things sorted soon.
