Despite topping the US retail sales charts back in August, it would appear that Darksiders II is struggling to reach the 2 million sales needed for publisher THQ to break even on the product.

Darksiders 2 meets Metalocalypse this week
If you have cable or whatever other international magic is required to watch Metalocalypse as it airs, tune in this Friday to check out an appearance from Darksiders 2′s Death. MTV Multiplayer reports Death will appear in a two-minute promo as part of a marathon special airing on the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Darksiders 2 is out now in the US and arrives on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Europe next week. A Wii U version is expected later on.

Darksiders 2 is the recipient of a new video, in which Death himself explains why he has embarked upon his quest, and “who should steer clear of his path.” We won’t argue with him, whatever his reasons. The video, posted below, is the final pre-release gameplay trailer for the game, as Darksider 2 releases on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 next week. The Wii U version is expected sometime after the console’s release.

Darksiders saves unlock a set of armor, scythe in Darksiders II
Still have your old saves from Darksiders? Good for you for hanging onto them, because they unlock two in-game items in Darksiders II: the Pauldron of the Horsemen and the Chaos Fang. The first is a level 5 piece of armor which boosts Death’s stats and crit damage, while the other is a level 1 scythe which also boosts Death’s crit damage, and overall damage. The in-game item unlocks are based on unlocked Achievements. Darksiders II is out on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in just a couple of weeks.

First all-gameplay trailer, PC specs released for Darksiders II
THQ has released the first all-gameplay trailer for Darksiders II, showing the Crowfather setting the stage where “the fate of mankind may be determined by the actions of the most feared horseman of the apocalypse.” That would be Death, obviously. Vigil has also released the PC specs for the game, which are posted below (thanks, Edo) along with the trailer.
