Valve has sent us over more details on the Left 4 Dead 2 campaign, Dark Carnival, which is playable at PAX 2009 this weekend, confirming earlier news from Eurogamer.
The new Boss infected monster known as “The Jockey” is the third revealed so far and it lets you attack lone Survivors and “wrestle control of their movement away from them-into fire, off ledges, or straight into the middle of a zombie horde.”
Also debuting is the “Zombie Clown,” the “uncommon common” exclusive to the Dark Carnival campaign, and a few more of the “20-plus items coming in the full product (electric guitar, machete, and the American baseball bat being offered as a pre-sell exclusive with select retailers).”
Game’s out exclusively on November 17 for PC and Xbox 360. Shots after the break.

The level introduces the Jockey, a new type of infected, and sees the survivors working along a highway, through a motel and into the carnival itself.
There’s a bunch of detail through there on new melee weapons, and the like. Fill your boots.

Valve has announced that Left 4 Dead 2 will be shown and playable during PAX, which takes place next week on September 4-6.
During the event, Valve will unveil “Dark Carnival”, the third of the five campaigns shipping with L4D2 this fall.
The game will be playable in Microsoft’s Xbox 360 booth as well as in Valve’s L4D2 booth. Different areas of the game will be shown in each location.
Additionally, Valve plans to reveal a few more of the 20-plus new items coming this November when the title launches for PC and 360 – hopefully something it’ll be something cool.
We’ll have to wait until next week to find out.
