DmC: ‘We understand why you got mad’ – Capcom
DmC: Devil May Cry takes the series in a new direction without watering down the series’ core fundamentals of combat, pacing and those ever-addictive red orbs. Capcom US producer Alex Jones has explained to VG247 why it understands fan’s initial reaction to Dante’s redesign and why it wanted to tone down the corny jokes and ‘campy’ tone of the original games.

Quick Shots: Devil May Cry screens full of action, nasty looking boss
Capcom has sent over some lovely new screensshots for Devil May Cry. In the shots below, you can look at Dante smack enemies of Limbo City around and observe how buildings, streets and environments will morph in an attempt to kill him. Don’t worry about our demon hunter, though: he can always activate his Devil Trigger, slow time and turn the world monochrome and unleash nasty combos upon the baddies. There is also a look at one of the game’s bosses in there as well. For more DmC action, check out the trailer posted yesterday.

DmC to give Dante new backstory, make it a key game mechanic
If you’re violently resistant to change, you may want to tell all puntable creatures to leave the room. According to Siliconera, Dante’s now half-demon and half-angel. Unfortunately, according to our villainous arch-rival Math, that leaves very little room for the human half that so characterized the white-haired embodiment of mid-life crisis in previous games. On the upside, the back-and-forth between Dante’s eclectic backgrounds will manifest in changes to his weapon, creating either a holy scythe or evil axe. Fingers crossed, though, that the weaponized guitar’s also making a comeback. Because truly, what’s more righteous than the power of rock?

Capcom and Ninja Theory compare DMC revamp to Bond’s in Casino Royale

Capcom and Ninja Theory has compared Dante’s change in the Devil May Cry reboot to James Bond in the film Casino Royale, where you see 007 as he was before he became the suave, misogynistic agent with a license to kill.
Apparently, Dante in the new DMC is sort of like that. Rough around the edges, and definitely not suave.

Capcom shoots down Devil May Cry for PSP

Famitsu’s latest issue says that Capcom will not be releasing Devil May Cry on PSP, despite announcing it four years ago, reports IGN.
This information was derived from the weekly release schedule, which no longer has the game listed. A note was included saying the game has been canceled.
Capcom announced the PSP version of DMC back in 2005, but nothing has ever been shown of the game by the way of assets or gameplay information.
Now we know why.
