Wolverine boss keen on Deadpool game

Wolvering dev lead Dan Vondrak has told UGO that he’s keen on making a Deadpool game. This is probably pretty cool.
“That’s very easy, that’d be Deadpool,” he said when asked which comic character he’d like to tackle next.
“We’re huge fans of Deadpool. When we made X-Men 2, we made sure to put Deadpool in there and give him plenty of little Easter eggs and conversations.
“We love the character. His smartass attitude. So that’d be the guy we’d probably go after.”
Neat. Thanks, Joystiq.

God of War influence on new Wolverine title, says Raven
In an interview in this month’s EGM, Raven’s Dan Vondrak has listed the games that have influenced the development team working on Marvel brawler, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
“God of War was an influence. Devil May Cry, even Super Smash Bros., to a point,” he told the mag.
“When we play [games like that], we just like the simplicity. Every character has their basic set of moves — that’s simple. People get that, and mass market gets that, so we’re making sure we bring that to Wolverine.”
Vondrak goes on to say that the speed of Wolverine will leave other games in its wake “People are going to play Wolverine and then be annoyed with how slow other action games are,” he said.
“We’ve gone back and played highly touted action games we all love, and you’re in these attacks forever. And it’s not just the speed — it’s the ease in which you’re able to [break] out of your attacks at any time.”
Game’s out in May.
Thanks, 1UP.
