Guxt, a 2007 vertical shoot-’em-up from Cave Story creator Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya, is headed to the 3DS eShop. Publisher Nicalis made a surprise announcement of Guxt’s port on Twitter, noting that it’s achieved an E for Everyone rating. Producer Tyrone Rodriguez revealed that the shooter will employ a vertical display mode, allowing you to turn the 3DS through 90 degrees and enjoy a longer playing field without a hinge break. No date or pricing information yet, but Rodriguez did note that Nicalis plans on having Guxt be cheaper than Cave Story, as it is shorter.
