Nintendo’s Connection Ambassador Promotion is for Europe only

Nintendo of America has said that it has no plans to launch the Connection Ambassador Promotion in North America at this time.
“This program is not available in the United States, and we have nothing to announce about it at this time,” an NOA representative told VG247.
The CAP program launches during October in Europe and gives Wii users an incentive to help other Wii users get online.
Those that get 10-20 people hooked into the net through the console, will be awarded with Nintendo dollars along with gold and platinum accounts.

Nintendo launching “Connection Ambassador Promotion” in Europe

Nintendo wants people in Europe to become ambassadors via a new promotion.
Called the Connection Ambassador Promotion, starting in October, if help out another Wii owner in establishing an online connection, you and your pal will both get 500 Wii Points (five Nintendo dollars). Do this for 20 and you can net 10,000 points (100 Nintendo bucks).
Also, once you have helped out 10 users, you’ll achieve “gold status” and should you get twenty connections you’ll have attained “platinum status” which means you’ll get all first- and third-party NES, SNES and N64 games for free.
Not a bad idea should you take the time to do it and know 20 people with a Wii in their home.
Thanks, Joystiq.
